Why is Rush "it's all about race" not screaming about Bobby Jindal?
Today President Obama made his first joint address to congress and the Republican party countered with their own Indian version of John Edwards, the diminutive Bobby Jindal. What I love about politics is the constant shell game of rotating arguments to support your position or your guy. Rush literally screamed into the microphone (after he put down the double-double) that Obama's meteoric rise in politics was only due to his race. So, I wonder what El Rushbo and those of you who believe it was all about race think about the Republicans picking out 37 year-old Bobby Jindal to deliver the Republican address? Oh, and by the way, the Republicans picked a black guy, Michael Steele, to run the R.N.C. I am sure his race had nothing to do with it, right Rush?
On a side note, and this might be hard for some of you to take, Bobby is not his real name! He has a foreign sounding Indian name (shhhhhh, he might get made fun of or seem foreign) Obama used to call himself by an American name as well. In high school and college he called himself "Barry" because he did not like the childish snickering his name produced. As Obama matured and became a man, he reclaimed his birth-name and called himself Barrack. We could only hope that "Bobby" will one day mature and reclaim his birth-name and be proud of his heritage.
Sorry that I have been away from writing for some time. I have been busy training for the L.A. marathon and running during the beautiful sunsets in the evening.
