Ted Stevens-enjoy your new deck

Holy cow, another one bites the dust in Alaska. Today Ted Stevens was indicted on seven criminal counts for conspiracy and lying to federal prosecutors. He put in a new deck, a second story, and extensive home remodels to the tune of 250,000 and did not pay for it. This is another blow to the party of "values." What's next, is a conservative senator going to get caught playing grab-ass with another male in the men's room? (Whoops) What is going on with the Republican party? We are 98 days away and the sky is falling for the Republicans. But at least the "fiscally conservative" President Bush is leaving our country in good shape.....oh wait a second, he is leaving us with the biggest deficit in the history of our country. But the Republicans are for "fiscal responsibility." At what point does reality and facts triumph talking points and spin?

What's wrong with a little free deck? Why else would anyone want to be a politician? To Serve? hahahahahaahahahahahahahaahahahahaha

Its about power, prestige, unlimited sex with 20 somethings, and free decks...but mostly its all about

Power!!!

The Larry Craig thing was 10 times funnier than this because he actually supported the marriage amendment, even though he is so gay that he resorts to random hookups in airport mens rooms.

Power and greed can be the downfall of many. While Ted Stevens is making the BIG headlines today I haven't seen or heard even a blip about Daniel Brewster, Democratic Senator from Maryland who was indicted yesterday for accepting illegal gratuities while in office.........hmmm, interesting. Also there is one U.S. Senator and one U.S. Congressman (both Dems) that were involved in more horrific crimes. One of coarse is Ted Kennedy, leaving Mary Jo Kapechnik (sp) at the bottom of the river to die. The other is Congressman Gary Condit who without a doubt but will probably never be brought to trial, that he murdered or had Chandra Levy killed. The quest for power and when one gets that power makes them feel like they are above the laws leads both parties NOT just the Republicans to do unspeakable and reprehensible things that we the people did not vote them into office to do. Greed, power, lust, above the law type attitude has brought down many and will continue to do so, sadly but true on both sides of the aisle.

Love ya, Susan
