Turn out the lights

Picture this scene:
Hillary is alone in her room, watching tapes of her Presidential announcement, still wearing her pantsuit like a modern day Miss Havisham. She has a small tear slowing rolling down her face as she wonders to herself, how did it all go wrong? How did she blow the best name recognition in the history of politics? How did she waste the best political talent and the millions of dollars to lose the nomination? Outside of her room nervous aides are drawing straws to see who will go in and tell her that it is over. She has lost to a man who has given HOPE to a new generation. Bill is trying to convince her to go on to Puerto Rico where he can campaign with Ms. Puerto Rico and keep this farce going. It is amazing that Obama, who the world did not know last year, has beaten Hillary and will be the next President of the United States. Obama consistently took the high road and never got down in the mud with Billary. He has campaigned with dignity and class and will move our country forward in the right direction. I can't wait for Obama to take on McCain!

Ain't over 'till the you know what sings. Have been hearing about this October surprise that the Clintons are keeping close to the vest on Obama. Inquiring minds want to know. More drama to come.

Love ya, Susan

It only gets better by the hour! I'm ready for a new chapter in our history to begin. Who would have guessed it six months ago.

Wow, I just found out you guys have these blogs. That's what I get for living on an island. Thought I'd join in.

I can't believe that Matt is writing these opinions!

Wait... I can see it... is it really....a flying pig!

I too voted for Dole and now am for Obama, but my "conversion" came awhile back. After my initial Marine "let's nuke the Middle East" reaction from 9/11, I started questioning things and actually READ news from all around the world and my political views on many things turned upside down, similar to what seems to be happening to Matt. George W. was really the catalyst because he's so blatant about his imperialistic and anti-environmental diplomacy.

Just like Billary, their true colors will eventually shine through.

I don't think Obama is going to be the savior of this country, because once he is in power it will corrupt him no differently than the Bush/Clinton dynasties, but he isn't corrupted yet and he will put us in a better direction than we are in now or would be with Hillary or McCain.

What we do need is more than 2 parties to choose from and to get all corporate money out of our government. Obama won't accomplish this and our policies will still be based on what GM, Exxon, GE, or whoever wants, ie military imperialism around the world disguised as "spreading democracy", which really means punishing countries who don't cooperate with our economic plans. That by the way, is the only reason why we're in Iraq, which you won't hear debated on the news because guess who owns all the US news media?

Iraq is a complex country that has a cultural history as long as human existance. Do we really think they need Americans to settle their disputes? We understand them less than we did the Native Americans or Vietnamese when we tried to "help" and spread western values to them. Iraqi people have a right to determine how they want their country run, which would probably be to separate it into 3 different regions(like a United States of Iraq!). Unfortunately that would not be a good stool pidgeon for American corporations, and that is why we will be there forever.

Aloha

Okay first... Matt do you really think a tear will roll before heads? I mean... come on... do you think the android is capable of human emotion?

And as much as I enjoyed Paul(y)'s response, why did you have to lump GE(/NBC/Kmart) in with the corporate jerks? Don't you know that Garrett reads these? He is still hoping to be head of east-coast microwave programming.
