If you govern a state and want to leave the union what's the big deal?

Holy cow with this one! Today news comes out that McCain's V.P. was a member of the Alaskan independence party and attended their convention in 1994. The stated motto of the A.I.P. (Alaskan Independence Party) is to succeed from the United States of America! Palin, along with her husband, attended the A.I.P. convention in 1994! John McCain is running on a motto of "America First." I guess he did not check out Palin motto, "I'm an Alaskan, not an American." Remember when some of you were outraged at Obama's pastor and I challenged you to explain how it will effect his policy decisions? I put money on the table and not one person even tried to respond. Now, if Obama was a member of a political organization that WANTED TO SUCCED FROM THE UNITED STATES a mere 14 years ago how would you feel? Would you just shrug it off because her little daughter Juno Palin is keeping the baby and they must be good people? This is a serious issue and raises questions about McCains judgement. McCain has gone after and smeared Obama for an association with a member of the weatherman and for his pastor. Again, these are not things Obama has said but Republicans believe in guilt-by-association politics to scare people. Imagine if Joe Biden belonged to a party that espoused such radical views, very troubling indeed! This is a huge deal and I predict Palin will be removed from the ticket. We cannot have such an ANTI-AMERICAN on the ticket. If you do not think she is anti-American please explain to me why she attended a conference of a party with a publicly stated goal of succession?
