3 facts about Joe the Plumber

Last night McCain conducted a national love affair with a man named "Joe the Plumber." I thought my television was broke and I was watching some bizarre gay version of the bachelor. It seemed as if McCain was competing for Joe the plumbers last rose. McCain mentioned Joe the Plumber over twenty times in ninety minute debate! The McCain campaign saw the clip of Joe the plumber talking to Obama and impulsively jumped all over this unknown entity to use as a symbol of the working man. Once again McCain spontaneously decides to use a guy as a symbol for his campaign without being vetted. (sound familiar? You betcha) So this guy gets mentioned over twenty times in a debate watched by over fifty million people yet the McCain campaign does not even know who this guy is. As always, we must look to the facts to find out who is Joe the Plumber:

1. Joe owes back taxes
2. Joe is not licensed
3. Obama's plan would cut Joe's taxes

Once again we have a brazen, impulsive move that backfired on the McCain campaign. What team of monkeys is running this campaign?

I don't know how it would played in the gay hating evangelical folks if McCain would have said, "Joe, it is my fundamental philosophy that you know what to do with your money better than Senator Obama or I do, and Joe will you accept this Rose?"

Obama told everyone to "not get cocky" and there is a Gallup poll saying McCain has closed to within two.

Will this be down to the wire? I can't wait to watch this on election day in crystal clear HD!!

Who was Joe the Plumber before Obama tried to make him see the light! First of all, right or wrong there are alot of Americans who have not paid their taxes. Secondly, Joe the plumber doesn't need a license if he works for a plumber that has one. Thirdly if Joe the plumber, as he stated wants to start his own plumbing biz, Obamas plan will take the incentive away from his starting his own business if the business makes more than $250,000 a year.

With regard to Palins abuse of power. This is a real stretch. Who wouldn't want a state trooper (ex brother-in-law or not)or any other law enforcement officer who was drinking in his/her squad car and tazered his 10 year old son fired. Matt, if there was a teacher in your school that was drinking in the classroom and tazered his son and wasn't fired by the Principal would the Superindentant be neglegent in his duties by not firing the Principal and the teacher???

You mentioned that there are so many Republican intellects that are voting for Obama. The last time I looked I think we had more than 9 intellects in the party. And the one's that you mention make me feel like Sarah Palin is running for President and not John McCain.
Let me shed a little more light on Gov. Palins accomplishments that for one reason or another there are some people that just don't want to get it. I will leave that reason up to whomever.

First of all let me clarify what I said in a previous post with regard to the Strategic Command of the Missle Defense Battalion of Alaskas National Guard. I did NOT say that Palin was the first line of defense with regard to our Missle Defense system. What I said was as Governor she SHARES in the S.C.M.D.B. of Alaskas National Guard.

1. Alaska is the only one of America's (57 State's, oops Obama slip) 50 states that borders on two foreign countries. Gov. Palin is Chief Executive of our most important energy State which lies only a few miles away from Russian terrority.

2. Palin has negotiated sensitive agreements on fishing rights with other countries.

3. She has worked on important trade deals with other countries and has met with foreign heads of state, not on their soil but ours.

4. Proven herself to be a fierce, knowledgeable, articulate (hard to believe for some that call her a "folksy" gal) advocate of responsible development of Alaskan resources to benefit not only Alaskas own residents but also the other 49 states. This may sound like it is not a BIG deal but it is a matter of economic necessity and more importantly our National Security.

5. She as Gov. has used the line item veto to cut $268 million dollars from the Alaska State budget.

6. She has a record of reducing property taxes, increasing municipal services and attracting new industry.

7. She has stood up to big oil companies and has raised taxes on them. Alaska has some of the highest resource taxes in the world.

8. She has approved gas tax relief to the people of Alaska and paid every resident $1,200 to help ease fuel price burdens. Dennis has a college buddy who confirms this. BTW he didn't vote for Palin but said that she is the "real deal" and the best Governor since he has been living in Alaska which has been over 30 years.

9.Palin has battled corrupt politicians on both sides of the aisle and won.

She is not a flash in the pan politician. As Dennis' friend said she is the real deal. I would encourage anyone to go on line as I have and research who the people really are that are running for public office. Don't be influenced by the MSM's and certainly not because she may not talk like a Harvard grad. The length of a resume is but one dimension. It's the depth of a candidate's experience which reveals the value of his or her accomplishments.

Love ya, Susan
