13 cars? and oh yeah, cough up the dough for the rape exam

Politics is so fascinating because it is all about the smallest details. If you love one candidate or their v.p. pick you could alternately praise or slam their pick depending on how far down the political rabbit hole you want to go. For instance Palin is routinely praised (sometimes on this blog) for being "real, down-to-earth, refreshing etc." People claim that she is the best choice McCain could have made (even though they never heard of her before the announcement, be honest guys) and that she represents the "American woman and loves the outdoors." Now, call me crazy, but shooting an unarmed moose does not qualify you as an outdoor lover. Shooting a moose is about as difficult as taking birth control. (wait a sec) Have you ever seen a moose in Alaska? These things are so slow and friendly I would have had a harder time shooting Tubbs. So, we are supposed to like Palin because she is down to earth but consider:
McCain has 13 cars!
McCain forgot how many homes he owned! (7)
I know some rich people but I have never known anyone with 13 cars or 7 homes. Did we not mock John Kerry for marrying rich, (that sounds familiar) and living off his wife's fortune? hmnnnn?
So Obama was not qualified because he lacked experience but you nominate someone with less experience and than praise her as eminently qualified?
We do not that when Palin was mayor of Fiddlesticks Alaska (population 7,000) she charged up to 1,000 dollars for rape examinations! What kind of crazy policy is this? Charging a woman for a rape exam? You have got to be kidding me with this one. One more point, I find it very interesting how I could express my reservations about Biden but so far not one Republican on this blog has expressed any reservations about Palin. Why is that? Hmnnn.........

what!!! I have huge reservations about palin..I've said from the start that I didn't like the pick but it was a great move by McCain to pick her. Because until they have an atheist social progressive who is a fiscal conservative I am out of luck

Oh and if you check todays drudgereport there is a link to an article where Bill Clinton says he "gets why Sarah is so hot out there" "people can relate to her family, especially in the heartland" He goes on to expand on why people like her even more in the article...

Bill is very bitter that Obama is the Nominee and will everything possible to subtlety undercut Obama

Loved the comparison of shooting a moose to shooting a slow-moving, smiling Tubbs. Hey, would it mean that Palin loves the outdoors if she had shot Tubbs? I do not wish to pass judgment on people who hunt; it is their right as long as it is not an endangered species whose extinction would ultimately affect the delicate eco-balance. However, does her hunting moose make her a more true American than Biden?
